14th ended our turn around stay in BA with a wonderful meal with Willis's childhood friends Jill and Mary.
15th December collected car from central BA and drove to Estancia El Ombu. Two active days there swimming, horse riding and eating their succulent steaks. Visited San Antonio de Areco and learnt of the gaucho life at the Gaucho Museum dedicated to the Agentinian poet Ricardo Guiraldes who wrote the novel "Don Segundo Sombra" which elevated the status of the gaucho. Oscar, who is the senior gaucho on El Ombu, is the grandson of the gaucho Don Segundo Sombra.
17th drove on to Pinamar on the Atlantic Coast for a few days rest before Christmas. Willis spent some of her childhood holidays here and is amazed at the massive expansion of the town.
