we had a pretty decent sleep in the hostel then set off to explore central Budapest. we visited shops like h&m and zara (a novelty when you live in Durham) and had a nightmare working out the crazy exchange rate before realising we couldn't actually afford anything.

we visited the Christmas markets and sampled some free Hungarian wine before visiting st Stephens basilica which was stunning. we went to the very cultural TGI Friday's for lunch, diminishing the 3rd burger of the trip before we took the metro back to the airport.

we still haven't had our passports checked.. this place is crazy! just waiting to board our luxury Ryan air flight home and should arrive in Durham around 2am.
