you've probably heard that we made it all the way to Budapest, Hungary. this was all thanks to Gazelle travel in Durham who sorted out our flight from Amsterdam for free. thank you so much, we could never have raised this much for cancer research without them!
we got some very funny looks at Amsterdam airport and got told off for fundraising yet again, spoil sports..
hilarious trip through security when we were asked to remove our pig costumes.. very embarrassing but we put them straight back on to board the plane. aimee got some very funny looks when she fell asleep on the floor at the boarding gate.
we had a very stressful plane journey wondering of we were winning. we finally landed to the news that another team had made it to Athens and we were second, pretty gutted at first but soproud! Budapest was the strangest airport ever, they didn't even check out passports!
we managed to board a bus to the metro costing 2000 hufs , whatever that means.wwe just headed for the centre hoping to find a hotel but spoke no Hungarian and there were no English signs and we had no map.. we started to reconsider what the he'll we had done! we managed to follow an English couple for a bit but they clearly wanted to ditch us as they printed off (we were in pig suits, very smelly, with hitch hike signs and our rucksacks on the front while they were trying to have a romantic weekend) but eventually, no thanks to them, we found the centre and it's actually beautiful!
we wandered round and aafter a few "no room at the inn" and very expensive hotels we found a bargain hostel with a cute little room just for us. just demolished a maccys (again) and now bed time before we explore more tomorrow.
thank you all for your donations so far.. we're 1018 miles away so you can all make your per mile donations please at justgiving.com/penthousebabesjailbreak .
your support so far has been incredible, thank you so much and special thanks to Gazelle for the flights! our flight home is 4pm tomorrow and hatfielders, we are expecting a welcome home party!
good night, thank you
Lucy Sophie and aimee xxx
