Blogging from the Great Wall! Fantastic but smoggy. C&P

blistered feet already from lots of walking yesterday. Now In the forbidden city which is massive and packed with tourists. Caroline has started her souvenir shopping already! Managed to book our train to Xian yesterday after luckily finding a guard who spoke English. We'll be setting off for there Thursday PM. We're off to the Great Wall tomorrow if we can navigate the correct buses. Gingers are a novelty here, Caroline has had pictures with a few enthusiast...

We made it to Beijing! Both tired after the flight, but hotel is lovely in hutong style. Ate at a wierd steam fondue restaurant, hope the piccie made it thru. Just stopped for first Chinese beer. Cheers, p and c
