Peg's Adventures
Today's duty station is the Scudder Excavation pit, which is a demonstration of a paleontologist dig site for park visitor to see the geological layers of the Florissant Formation. My job is to wait for visitors to come and then interpret the site. Often there are more wild visitors than people. But I definitely don't mind that. On Saturday, I saw a bobcat sitting in a small valley. Today I had a nice visit with a chipmunk and some stellar jays. The amazing thing is I am able to sit for a couple of hours and just become part of Nature listening and seeing how many living things share this spot.
