Okay, so I spent 4 nights in San Diego, after travelling down from LA on the Greyhound. San Dieago is probably one of the better places in the US that I have visited, saying that there are still some pretty s***ty areas. 5th Street (or the Gaslamp Quarter) is where all the bars, resturaunts and clubs are. Then there is a large port area where cruise ships dock and another large area for yachts and stuff. Plus, along the coast you have Ocean and Mission beaches, which have another cool vibe again. Ofcourse being pasty white, slightly sunburnt and over weight, I fitted in well. I stayed in a hostel called Cat, which was up on 14th street, so it was a little outta town. But the poeple and staff at the hostel were great, and we had some fun! I didn't really get upto much in San Dieago. One day I went to the beach with some other Brits and another day we looked around the shops......you know all the usual stuff. You see in the back of my mind I knew that the next destination wasn't gonna be so easy...........Mexico!
