Hi everyone, Left Kathmandu for Chitwan in the Rainbow bus along a road that was tortuous and designed for one and a half cars but which was packed with buses and trucks. The no rules took on some coheasion, they all give way (even if the situation is a bit precarious). It was good to be the inside lane as the drop was a few hundred metres into a glacial river with nothing mostly to prevent a drop. The 1st toilet stop was where we pulled to the side of the road ...

Howdy We are off and running... Got to Kathmandu today after uneventful and somewhat boring flights. Singapore airport was awesome - we spent a few hours visiting all the special gardens and the butterfly house, and the shops. Then holed up in the Transit hotel for the night. Kathmandu has a fabulous thunder and lightening display tonight. The city is much busier than I anticipated and very much like South America except the traffic is WORSE!!!! They are maniac...
