heya, just arrived back in Alice springs after going out to visit Kings canyon etc. The first part of this tour we spent visiting a wildlife park and the flying doctors museum. The next day a few people including me went out to see an aborigional settlement where we learnt how the aborigional people lived and a bit of history about them. we got to trow a boomarang, try some bush fruits and eat Kangaroo tail. The kangaroo tail was nice but i decided against eating a huge grub which someone was brave enough to eat one! we also saw some paintings painted by the aborigional people. I got up at about 4 o'clock to watch the sunrise over Ayers rock which was beautiful, we then spent the day walking around the base of Ayers rock and the Ulgasm another rock formation nearby. That night we had an amazing champagne sunset at Ayers rock once again with delicious nibbles. Yesterday we drove on to Kings Street Station home of Kings Canyon and spent the afternoon lounging around the pool and drinking beer. that evening we sat around the camp fire playing games and playing the Guitar and still drinking. At night we slept outside under the stars in a 'swag' which is like a mattress and sleeping bag in one which was amazing and surprisingly comfortable. Today we visited Kings Canyon and walked all around it and then drove back here to Alice Springs. Tonight we are having a dinner where we can try such things as Emu and camel which should be interesting! the next time I am on here I will probably be in Darwin so speak then, bye. xx
