Hi Natalie,
i hope your ankle feels better. ice and elevate, man. i suggest that you go to rio dulce for a few days. it's a gorgeous 5 hour ride, ish, from antigua. then, from there, you can check out finca paraiso, which is a hot water spring (hot waterfall) leading into a cool river. It's a good contrast!!!!! i'm jealous that you're in guat. or, after the hot waterfall, you could go to Livingston, which is much different from the rest of Guatemala due to some Caribbean cultural influences. Or, so I hear. Never been to the latter. Take care, and keep blogging, por favor.

Hi Babe,
Your ankle?? Again. Bummer. Hard to climb those volcanoes and Mayan ruins with a sore ankle. I won't remind you that I handed you the ankle brace as you packed and you turned it down. I think I've packed it for China, instead.
You look terrific and sound positive even though you are camera-less. Glad you've saved some pics here. At least you know about double entry-visas! Ahem!

Natalie. I love reading your travel journal. Very fun. I hope you have fun in Pana.

You look great, my dear. Tan, happy, and thinner! wow! It is wonderful to see pictures of you with new friends, and beautiful places. Thank you. Don't be jealous of me in Mongolia (maybe a little) as you are entertaining the masses with your adventures and this blog site. I'll start mine soon. Apartment hunting, eh? Sounds rather permament! (I'm not freaking out! Just let me know if and when it's time to really freak out. Ok? )
Love you.

I love hearing all your stories, and your making me excited for my little journey! My plans might be changing though...my sister wants me to go to Scotland with her the week after Christmas. So. Scotland, then off to Australia? Bring it on. I miss you, remember to look for flights to Australia in Feb. so you can meet me there ; )

So your mom took Dad and I hiking before she left...it was sooo pretty, we went to Mt. Rainier, and we talked about YOU hiking volcanoes too! We are pretty much a volcano-hiking family I guess. Anyway, it was nice to have your mom here before she left, wow, I am gonna miss you Stowells soooo much. I feel like a bum staying here in PO. I should be travelling the world TOO. Well, maybe not yet, but your family is definetly planting the seed of interest in me. I continue to read this and lust over all of your pictures. LOVELOVELOVE, Bailey

again...I didn't climb a volcano today, but I swam off our beach for the 2nd morning in a row. Y.day at 6:30 a.m. and today at 7:00 a.m. I swam w/a young woman from Finland who is our guest for 4 days. The temp. is about 45 degrees. Brrrrr, but great! Medium high waves, strong current, like champagne!

Oops! Below post is from me. ;)
It is an eye opener when we realize why people come to the US to work. I'm sure you're opening some eyes on your blog.
Veronica is a beauty. I could not imagine Julia or Ruth carrying a bundle that heavy on their head.
Love the pictures - your words paint the most lovely of pictures. Take care and stay safe. xxoo
