Hello!
Since my last blog update there has been alot of travelling! I went down the silver mines of Potosi and saw the horrific conditions that the miners there work in. Then after that, me and Kat met up with the other two girls in Uyuni, where we set out on a 3 day salt flats tour.
The Salar de Uyuni is the biggest salt flat in the world and it was amazing! First stop was a train cemetery, so we took some silly pics on the trains. Then we headed out and saw the worlds first Salt Hotel! Everything made of salt! Fish Island was next (nothing to do with fish), which had loads of massive cactus plants on it. We all took some silly pictures on the salt flat, messing around with the perspective so it looked like we were all popping out of a giant Pringles can etc! Great fun. You could barely see where the salt stopped and the sky began. we spent that night at a salt hotel on salt beds, which was certainly an experience! It gets to -10c at night there and it was freezing cold!! The next day we saw various massive volcanic lagoons. Went through so many different landscapes too! The scenery was spectacular too. Spent the second night at a freezing cold hostel in the middle of the wilderness! The last day, we went and saw some volcanic geysers, and had a dip in a natural hot spring which was awesome! then it was back to Uyuni.
We crossed the border into Argentina the next day, and spent the day at a nice city called Salta, where I had my first nice Argentinian steak! It was delicious!!! for only a fiver too. Everything still feels expensive coming from Bolivia though.
Two days ago, we arrived in Puerto Iguazu to see the waterfalls. Yesterday we visited the argentinian side which was AMAZING!!! Probably one of the most amazing, spectacular things I have ever seen. There were so many massive waterfalls its undescribable. Just look at the blog pic for reference! We went on a rapids speedboat under the waterfalls and got drenched! Also saw a bullet ant. It feels like you´ve been shot when it stings you! We ran away. The most powerful part of the falls is called the Devils Throat and it was amazing!!! The most spectacular waterfalls in the world!
Today we visited the Brazil side which gave us a more panoramic view of the falls. It was spectacular again, got to see all the falls again and get wet again! We spent some time there, then came back to the hostel. Getting the bus to Buenos Aires tonight! cant wait to party there for a week!!!

the godfather Hi Paul, Our heads are starting to spin as you traverse S. America, country after country... We just hope that old 'Blighty' will not prove too much of an anti-climax when you get home... You are coming home aren't you?
