27th June 2006 - Day 88 Cessnock, into the Lower Hunter Valley to taste some wine, eat some smelly cheese and indulge ourselves in some gorgeous fudge!! yum!! 24th June 2006 - Day 85 Set off from Brissie via Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay. So driving most of the day set out in the glorious sunshine when we stopped for a walk along the golden sands of Surfers Paradise but by 4pm it was chucking it down. Cleared again by the afternoon. 14th June 2006 - Day 75 Woke early to a lovely sunny day at last - things are looking up!! 6th June 2006 - Day 67 Spent the day strolling the beach at Palm Cove. Then headed for Cairns, stopping at a couple of beaches including Clifton beach, Trinity beach and Yorkey's k*** where we saw a few kite surfers catching the strong winds in their sails. 4th June 2006 - Day 65 Up early to get ready to pack up and clean up the van. Managed to melt plastic onto the cooker hood, so spent most of the morning trying to scrub it off. Poor Paul managed to do it. Handed camper back and headed off to the airport. Flight to Cairns was spectacular, the views were amazing - was a little scared at the beginning of the flight but calmed down after a while.
