This is our third day in Koh Chang or Elephant Island as it also known as. It's a very well run and lovely resort. Our bungalow is right on the beach. We see the sunset every night.
Yesterday we went out on a catamaran and visited 3 uninhabited islands and snorkelled off the reefs. It was great to sail as opposed to the hum drum noise of an engine.
Koh Chang is very hilly with lots of hair pin bends and very sharp inclines! there are no roads inland as it all jungle and although there are treks, the heat is too much to trek uphill just to see a few monkeys.
One thing about Thailand is that you have to remove your shoes wherever you go. That includes every building including restaurants, hotels, bars, and even grocery stores. Try and imagine 2000 pairs of shoes outside Asda!
To think that for two months I had sciatica and an X-ray on my knee 3 weeks ago and since being here, I have had no pain whatsoever!
We check out tomorrow for another resort on Koh Chang.
