Wed 23rd Aug: Today Dave and I walked around Rio - went to shopping centre to buy some essentials and to Ipanema which is another area of Rio. That night we went to the Marcana Stadium to watch Botofago vs Cruzerio. We arrived outside the stadium where I met a guy who plays rugby for Costa Rica....check out Costa Rica+Rugby on google and compare photos - it really is him! Even though the stadium was close to empty the atmosphere was electric as Botafogo are a local team. Botogo won 1 0, great game!! after the game we went back to the hostel where we had a few more drinks and then a group of us went to a reggae club in ipanema. the2 club was pretty s*** but dave and i got drunk nevertheless. we arrived home late or early depends on how you lookat it and conked..........
