I have to catch up a few days when I can. We have spent Saturday in the city of Wellington - on the day that the All Blacks played the Aussies on the rugby field. I think that everyone in New Zealand was in a pub, including us!! Welington is a great city, and we enjoyed our pm there. On Sunday we took the ferry across Cook Strait and met a new driver and group of people. We went wine-tasting in the Marlborough district; then liquors which were delicious. We travelled to a small town where three people drove an airplane and another did a skydive. We spent the night in Abel Tasman National Park in the campgrounds.. That means outdoor access to bathrooms and showers. We did cook good pasta meals, played cards. When they started the drinking game, I headed for bed.
Today we went out on a catamaran for a sail but there was no wind, so we motored the entire time. We did see spectacular scenery, lots of birds, starfish, sea cucumbers and a cove of seals. They dropped us off on a beach with a 40 minute "tramp" back through the woods with incredible views of the beaches.
I have a lot of pictures, but when you get 10 min on these coin or cash computers and they are slow, I don't have time to load them. Know that I am really enjoying the beauty and the friendly atmosphere of this country. I;ll send another message soon. Tomorrow I am going to a knife - making outing in a New Zealander's home.
