Finally touched down in panama, and the now the sweats start. Adjusting from ice cold conditions to 75% humidity is going to prove to be difficult. Nonetheless, we arrived to our little hostel, the Villa Vento Surf shack, right in the middle of the Marbella district. We had originally booked a private room but somehow we got placed in the mix dorms. Our dormmate looked like Dobby to be quite frank, and it was all very surreal.
Panama city is not what I expected. It's like Miami, sky scrapers and tropical greenery, it's quite cool! Also there's a dunkin dohnuts, burger king, subway and baskin robbins down the road. They also use dollars. It's like a tropical version of the US. Having had virtually no sleep, we decided to just chill upstairs and wait for Sean and Laylas arrival. Funny thing is they had arrived 20mins or so before we realised as they weren't allowed to come up. Meet and greet done, it was off to Panamas Hardrock cafe for dinner. Are we even in Latin America anymore?!
Dinner time also generated some entertainment. Jess decided to be adventurous and ended up ordering the 'Panama Burger' which consisted of mango, bacon, avocado and plantain fritters. Me and nomes had a full rack of ribs (staaandard) and I accidentally ended up ordering tap water ( dont worry mum, I didnt drink it!)
