It's been a while!
The last time I wrote this I was on rabbit Island - feels like so long ago! After that, we partyed for a night in a place called Sihnoukville and the following day we went to another island called kho krong.
We stayed on the island 3 nights and just lazed about in the sun and walked along the beach teas very chilled although the rain continued with intermittent (and much appreciated sunshine).
After this we headed West back on the mainland to a place called Chi Phat, a village in a Cambodian jungle. The 2 day trek was hot, the backpacks we used were heavy/broken and the path had soo many leaches. The reward was sleeping in a proper army/jungle style hammock (much much nicer than it sounds)!
Following this we took 16 hours of busses to Sien Reap - famous for the Ankor Wat temple. I've already seen this so I split from the group to do some less obvious touristy stuff. It was really fun: I fed crocodiles, checked out some guns and got drunk with this Ozzie dude in a floating village.
Following this we bussed it all the way to Bangkok where of course we partyed. We met some very odd English business people and ate some very tasty food.
The next day we got the train to a port town called Chumphon. The trip was so beautiful and the Thai people on the train were so nice. Finally I am seeing why Thailand is such a popular place! We spent most of the time in the dining carriage which had tasty delicious food.
A night in a hotel at the port town meant we avoided the horrific all night journey from Bangkok and had a nice sleep before our 7am boat to Kho Tao (my third visit!).
We were very fortunate to get an upgrade and our room is incredible compared the the places we stayed in Cambodia! It has air con, hot water and a television. The resort we are at is a dive place and I've just done my advanced open water. Was fortunate enough to go to Sail Rock on the course - where I dived with 3m BULL SHARKS. So impressive! Also went to 32m depth which is a new low...
Today I'm kicking back and relaxing after a fun night out with Charlie which involved a sunset, Italian food and lots of fire! Emz and Charlie are finishing their open water too. The weather is dreamy.
Tommorrow it's kho phangyang....
