Well - i arrived, at about 11 pm English time and 5ish Ecuador time - so after travelling since 3 was rather tired - but here i was ECUADOR!!

slightly paniced myself in madrid had read on my ticket my connection was at 11.35 and we were a bit late arrived at 11 which ment (i thought) i only had 10 mins to go through security and find my gate - EEK!

Having sat next to a really nice couple on the plane - they calmed me a bit and the man said tha they seemed to have delayed my flight till 12.15 - so panic was over!! Got some water (as apparently even though we bought it in the UK airport we still werent allowed it) and rused to my queue - perfect timing - and emabarssingly realised that my dep time WAS actually 12.15 - oops!!

Then on the plane was asked to move to allow 2 girls to sit next to each other - but in fact moved away from the loos and to a seat with far more leg space!! sitting next to (what i thought was a little south american) boy - but was actually portuguese - so even though he understood a bit of my spanish - the shats didnt rel last!! althoug he was extremely sweet!

the flight was delayed by an hour but didnt really notice - the food was great but we got a pasta meal, then later a sandwhich and then a chicken and chick pe thing! but what i didnt realise until part way through - all the drinks were FEEE!! so took full advantage of that once i knew!!

went through customs OK - athough a nice little south american man talked to me in the queue and i had NO idea what he said so smiled and nodded!! lol always the way!

walked out and couldnt see aboard with my name on, panic, wlaked through, couldnt see anyone - more panic, but then spotted a greenforce t-shirt PHEW!!

Colin wa the man and he is our ´project leader´although hates all formality so just likes to be colin! he was really nice - walks quite fast, but really nice!

got a taxi to our hostel - which is in the same building as our spanish lessons - so thats useful. went to the supermarket to get some bread and things to have a bite to eat.

just off to see a bit of new quito - where we are based so will updat again - the other 4 arrive today so will let you know about them too!!
