Day 8

Adelaide nice city, it's true it is the city of churches. Nice relaxed feel about the city with lots of parks and open spaces although not as cosmopolitan as Sydney or Melbourne.

We drove (the royal 'we' as I haven't driven a meter so far) on to Port Augusta on a pretty empty highway through large wheat farming areas. Past Port Pirie which has a huge lead smeltor for processing output from Broken Hill and Coobar Pedy.

Port Augusta itself really just a service centre for the outback areas.
