Tiring DAYs

After Barnwell country park, we went back to the Thurning Campsite and had a drink. Since medieval times Thurning Feast is held every year on St James' Day (July 25th). It's a cross between a beer festival and a fete. There's a raffle, tom bola, bowls, a helter skelter, prize winning shooting range, a cake stall, a hog roast and live music all night.

After Karl & Colin had put their tent up, we headed to the feast. We saw a teacher from our school, Mr Colbran who was in a band performing on stage. I went off with James to the shooting range and I got none down but he got 3. The we went on the helter skelter which was really high but very slow. After that we went to the bowls and tried to beat the top score to win a box of cola bottles. We went to the tom bola and had four tickets each. James didn't get anything but this time I got a bag of Haribo sweets. We went back to the other to share them out and Mary tried to snatch them. We went back to the tent to get a football and played a bit of football. Then James went off to have a picnic while I got us some candy floss.

Later we had a game of football with the adults. I won two games but lost one. Just after I scored a brilliant goal I was hitwith a powerful shot in the stomach by the ball and I was winded. Colin was being really funny so we all piled on him. I didn't dance with mummy even though I promised. Daddy fetched us a burger while me and Karl went on the shooting range. Karl got all of them down but I only got two. Karl gave me his tickets and I chose 2 dog key rings

When we woke up and got dressed we went outside the tents to have breakfast. Daddy and Dom were cooking bacon rolls on the grill. After we had breakfast the adults took the tent down while the children played. When we were all packed up we said goodbye to everyone and went home. Then when we got home we had a shower and got changed. Then we unpacked. I was a very naughty so I got sent to my room for two hours! (the horror) I was let out and had meatballs on toast . After me and Eric watched a movie. Then we had tea and went to bed. P.S. ERIC MADE THE TEA EEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GEORGE

We went to Thurning Feast in the new Land Rover! After we put we went to Barnwell Country Park for a picnic. When we got back we saw Maggie carrying some cakes. The we saw Mary & Jez and Karl & Colin. First I had a go at the shooting range. I got one down. The gun was very heavy and when I went first, the gun wouldn't open so I couldn't put the bullet in. Then we gave Maggie, who was on the hog roast her birthday present. Just after that we went on the tom bola and we had two tickets each. I got one ending in 5 so I got a little lamb and I am holiding it as I write.

We went and had a rest with Ethan and Ruby. We sat down near where the music was. A bit later we went to the cake stall with Ethan an Ruby and got some chocolate cake Maggie made and it was scrumpcious. When we had finished we went back past the cake stall and went over to the stall at the corner and got some pick and licks.

I went put my lamb in the sleeping bag and I chucked it in and it landed on it's four legs and it looked so cute. We stayed near the tents and played. My last shooting range was just before we went to bed an it was with Daddy and with the ickets I brought 2 meerkats, one for Ethan and one for me. We stayed up until 10 o'clock at night. When I was in the tent I heard lots of noisy people. Some were right behind me and it annoyed me.

We packed up the tents and went home and I tidied my room and watched Sponge Bob the movie.

In the morning we had had bacon sandwiches for breakfast ad George was last up.
