Well this is a long time coming, but our first update from Australia! We have been up to so much, we flew up from Sydney to Cairns, to begin with we spent the first week in hostels up there, we went to Port Douglas and spent a few days there, hired bikes and cycled down the beach - in the rain, was kinda fun! The last few days on Koh Tao were ruined a bit by non stop rain and we found the only thing to amuse ourselves with was eating, drinking and watching films with all the other backpackers on big screens in the restaurants on the island. Well we've not done much this week, which of course was intentional! We have spent this past week in a small bungalow, a basic hut with one room and an en suite (no hot water!). For $2.50 a night each not complaining! It has a great view of the beach and lovely sunsets. We also share the bathroom with a big Gecko Lizard that we've called Gary!
