Nothing planned for except to do the walking tracks at Leven Canyon.
I was advised by the lady at Cradle Mountain to take the high walk, and then the stairs DOWN to the lower track. She was right.
The walk to Cruikshank's lookout was a nice gentle slope, and didn't take too long. The lookout was high up, and overlooked the canyon and river below. The lookout itself was a little daunting for me due to my fear of heights (vertical drops). I did manage to get a few photos, but couldn't get to the very edge.
The stairs down to the next lookout was very steep. I'm glad to be going down, and not up! I did meet a couple going up and we chatted for a while. They are from Castle Hill in Sydney. They had walked a lot of places in the world and were still impressed with the Tassie walks. I continued down the 400ish stairs and the short walk to the Edge Lookout. This showed a great view of the river below. The walk back to the carpark was a gentle slope uphill. Along both walks are benches to rest, and carved in them is the distances to/from in both directions. Quite a good touch!
There was a fair breeze and a small amount of drizzle during the night, but I managed to get a fair bit of sleep.
