Sorry we haven't written in so long! We've had a crazy amazing time and met the coolest people!
The first week in Cairns was amazing. We met 6 other travellers, all English except Brenna who was Canadian. We celebrated Halloween all together and went out and me and Cam dressed up a hippies! Our room was so cool, we are shared a dorm and pushed our bunk beds all together to create one massive bed where we'd chill and watch films all day after a night out then fall asleep.
Everyone we met was crazy, so many different characters but we all got on so well! We ended up splitting into a group of 6 because the other 2 weren't really the same as us guys and planned a few trips. The 3 guys did bungy jumping which was hilarious. Michael (the most northern person we have ever met) had to have a drink for courage in the morning and by the time we got there he was sooo drunk! It was hilarious! He was only allowed to do one jump out of 3. The boys dressed up as Mario, Luigi and superman and us 3 girls did a jungle swing where you drop in the air 55 metres then swing across the top of the rainforest which was insane!
So my bungi jump was just the best feeling I have ever had! It was so much scarier than the skydive as you are on your own when you jump! My first jump was just a easy swan dive! This was not easy it was so scary! But after you have done your first dive you just can't wait to do your second! The feeling was just crazy! My second jump was a BASE jump of the roof which was my favourite jump as you are even higher than the first one and the adrenalin is just crazy! The third jump I was a tiny bit scare of I had to ride a Bmx of the roof and trust me this is scary! I was so scared I couldn't even scream! But to all those people that live in England, save your money fly to cairns live in cairns for 2 weeks meet some amazing people do a bungi jump then you know your life has just begun!
Me and cam also did the Great Barrier Reef which was insane! We stopped off at green island which was lush although tipping down with rain. Our boat cruise was 98% Chinese/Japanese people, the tour guides were and the leaflets were too haha, think we must have booked the wrong one. The reef was amazing, we saw sharks and this massive fish called Wally who's about as big as me. I got to touch him and he sucked on my hand.
Cairns is awesome, there's a huge lagoon and our hostels sweet. It's more like a resort/hotel. I (Han) got my nose pierced which is awesoooome!
