Day 7 - another glorious sunny day and a magnificent sunrise met us as we walked out the door for another day of our escapade. Another ride on the RER/Metro to Tuileries for our all day trip to Monet's Garden at Giverny & Versailles. There are 52 of us on the bus but half are Aussies. It took 1 and a half hours to Monet's Garden - time for a nap !!! We had a guided tour around then we headed for that famous photo on the green bridge overlooking the lily pond and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was such a peaceful place. Then we had lunch at this gorgeous little inn - it was very picturesque with a water mill and a little waterfall. Then back on the road to Versailles. When we arrived it was bus after bus but when you got inside there didn't seem that many people. The gardens were disappointing, not a lot of flowers out. Highlight of the day was certainly Monet's Garden - I could spend hours there just sitting taking in the serene surrounds. On the bus now on the way back to Paris. Another unbelievable day in Paris. :))

Jen Shell, Monet's garden was a place we would have loved to have visited. Sue Hart told us all about it and it sounds similar to the places you visited. It sounds idealic. Well you can cross that one off the list - lucky you!
