Arrived in Rio after a 25 and 1/2 hour bus journey from the Foz do Iguacu - semi cama...ouch and the coach stunk - i stayed at the hostel Mellow Yellow (more like smelly Yelly), the place wasnt in the best repair to say the least however the people and the staff there were realy good and had a pretty sweat time (sorry Welshy i apologies for the earlier ribbing it was a good choice of place to stay).
Highlight of my time in Rio was definetly the Favella tour which was realy eye opening and the moto-taxi up to the top of the favella was pritty insane. After the Favella tour would probably be the Favella funk party or the Flamengo vs. Botofogo game at the Maracanara Stadium (Puta que perrion...lol). Obviously i pulled in the funk part a local chiquita who couldn´t resist my manlyness in a kilt ( buy the way the favella funk party is the same place as in the film "City of God" if anyone has seen it...pritty cool party). Also did the mandatory visit to the Christ statue and suger loaf where i bagged some pritty sweat pictures (check em out).
Watched the world cup final on Copacabana beach with some mates after giving some local kids a lesson in beach football (aye right), was dissapointed not to be allowed to keep my ball as we werent allowed it in to the football fest, though i made a good trade with the sweety man at the gate and back myself some cough sweats for my ball :)
Rio was a realy cool place well worth anouther visit to do all the stuff i didnt have time for and to see more of Brazil as its a pritty stunning country. I def recomend to anyone.
