Wow, I want those pillows, and that bed! So so comfy, I had a sound nights sleep. After I persuaded my body out of bed I headed down to the 'Salt' restaurant for a very special breakfast treat. I had an a la carte feast of a bread basket containing a croissant, pain au chocolat, mini french baton, and a pineapple danish pastry, weetbix, toast, tropical fruits, full english breakfast, coffee and orange juice (I did take some of the bread basket away with me as I couldn't eat it all). Needless to say I didn't need lunch. I chilled by the pool for the rest of the morning and had a lovely refreshing swim. At about 2pm I went down to Port Denarau for some serious shopping and came back very satisfied and with a much thinner purse! Having arranged to meet Sophie and Nathaniel for dinner at 7pm, I quickly changed and got a cab to our arranged restaurant 'Nadinas' for some authentic Fijian cuisine. The restaurant had closed and I had no way of contacting my friends and I couldn't see them around the area so I got the cab back to my hotel room, where I found a voicemail from Sophie to say that the restaurant had relocated to Port Denarau, and they would meet me there. With that, I hot-footed it down to the marina and finally found them. I ordered Walu (a white fish) pan fried in a coconut sauce with local rootcrop vegetables. It was amazing. Then for dessert I indulged in banana pudding (much like banana bread) with custard and caramelized pineapple. It was the perfect end to the perfect meal. Sophie, Nathaniel and I then said our goodbyes went our seperate ways. I returned to my hotel room and spent about 2 hours trying to cram my stuff back into my bag with the addition of 3 full carrier bags of souvenirs. It was a challenge but as always, I got there! I have to be up early tomorrow as my cab is booked for 06.15 to take me to the airport :(
