It's been a while since I did a blog so I thought it was about time.
Firstly can I say, I don't claim to know anything about anything I blog about, it's simply my mind being poured out onto here!
This weekend my family and I visited the Rock of Cashel in Cashel, Tipperary. I'd seen the castle from the main road while driving a lorry and thought wow! I mentioned it to my Wife so as a treat she decided to take me and my in laws.
This area is historically significant and incredibly old. The building is magnificent, there is plenty parking at the bottom of the rock as well as plenty places to eat and drink located close by.
It's costs very little to visit the castle and it's so worth it, the view is beautiful.
Just down the road is Hore Abbey so just to be childish I want to add 'lol'.
We went for something to eat and drink at the bake house in the village which was nice...
From there, the Folk Village is literally across the road. So again, this place is payable on entry but it's cheap and well worth it. It's not what you might think, it's not a village, it's a glorified back yard but it's beautiful and full of history and relevant Irish information.
Cashel is beautiful, truly beautiful and certainly worth a visit! Enjoy!
