Hi guys. Basically the lack of blogging is due to my laptop charger breaking. I have a massive blog from my week in Brisbane on my other computer which I'll post when I get a new charger. Moving swiftly on. I spent the last five weeks staying with my aunt Michelle, uncle Pete, and cousins Katie and Anna in their gorgeous house in the hills in Kingaroy up in rural Queensland. It's only a couple of hours from Brisbane. Their house is set up on top of a huge hill with 360 degrees of mountains and hills for miles around, and it's absolutely beautiful! They have three horses, two pigs, three chickens (there were more, but one would die every week due to random attacks from the pigs / wild hawks / unknown entities) and two dogs. It sounds a bit mad, but it really works, and we had a great time with all the animals! Clo and I even tried our hand at a bit of horse riding around their field, haha.
The time was spent relaxing, getting used to a home surrounding again after travelling so long, and seeing what the local area had to offer. We did loads of cool things, like go karting at a massive track in Nanango down the road. Although it was slightly tainted by some random man trying to bash me off the road, and thinking he'd got the better of me; so anyways, I comes back up and bash him off, laughing away and thinking it's all a game. I then get called back by the big boss who watches the track, and get told that I've really upset the man and it's lucky I'm still racing or he'd punch me! Some little b****es are just sore losers. Whatever.
We also went to Australia Zoo, which was such a fantastic day! I got to feed kangaroos out of the palm of my hand! They were so tame, it was amazing. And so fricking cute. We did loads of things, like pet a baby crocodile, look at all the snakes, have a photograph with a koala, take photos in Steve Irwin's Crocodile Hunter van, etc etc. It was a really great day.
It's hard structuring this blog because everything happened over such a long time, but basically we did loads of fun things, like meals out, a trip down to Noosa to the beach (it pissed it down with rain the whole time, but it just made it funny, and we still went in the sea), a hike through the Bunya Mountains through this gorgeous rain forest, etc etc.
It was so nice to see my family again, I haven't seen them since they moved out here about 18 months ago! It was really good. :)
Next stop is Sydney, and I'll be sure to get back in to the blogging swing of things so they're much easier to write.
Love Olly
