Hi guys! I'm so behind on my blogging. Sydney was absolutely amazing, it totally reminded me of New York. We managed to see all the sights, soak up all the atmosphere, and still relax and not get too tired out.
We went to the Opera House but didn't see a play as we wanted to save our money. We had photographs taken outside though and it's so magnificent! I was kind of blown away for the first time on the trip. I thought, wow, I'm actually here. Insanity. We also got pictures of the Harbour Bridge which is pretty awesome, and did loads of window shopping and looking around.
We saw two movies (carrying on the tradition of visiting a cinema in every place we go to) and watched Wanted and The Dark Knight. Wanted was incredible, and made me want to marry Angelina Jolie more than I did originally, but The Dark s***e (as it is now called) was a piece of crap. Anyway, at least I'm not the only person in the entire universe not to have seen it anymore.
On Friday night we went out in Kings Cross, and I honestly don't think I've ever been so smashed in my entire life. The world wasn't spinning, it was jutting back and forth. I felt like my legs were on one of those moving floors in a fun house and you can't go backwards or forwards. It was pretty horiffic. The night consisted of lots of vodka red bull (vodka doesn't make me a happy drunk, it makes me a mardy drunk), smashing a glass of champagne down a boy's leg and then befriending him, going outside for a cig and deciding to go for a 1am stroll through Sydney, sitting on the floor with a crying homeless girl for an hour and counselling her about her s*** life, and getting back to the hotel and having a huge arguement with Clo. It wo' bloody great I tell thee.
Anyways, all was fine and dandy the next day as we decided to get on a cruise ship at Sydney Harbour and go whale watching. It was fricking awesome as we sailed alongside three gorgeous hump back whales, one of which was a baba! Anyways, the awe inspiring beauty of nature soon came to a hault when my delayed hangover (you honestly have NO idea how drunk I was) combined with the rythmic bobbing of the seas resulting in me vomitting. It was beautiful. I spent the last hour of the trip sat inside with five green Chinese people also throwing up the remnants of last night. Absolutely great times.
And I think that's about it! Drinks, shopping, movies, whales, the opera house, the bridge, the ocean, and saying goodbye to Australia.
Hello Thailand!
XO O.
