I am now in Wollongong at my university. I live with 4 other people, 2 Australian guys, a girl from Connecticut, and a girl from Norway. We each have our own bedroom, but we share a bathroom and a common room. There are maids to clean for us, but this means that no one cleans up after them self. The people here are really friendly. The city and school are much bigger than I expected. It is about a 30 min walk to campus from my dorms or you can pay $1.40 for a trip to school and back on a bus. I am hoping to find a bike to ride to campus instead. We have taken the train into the city twice now to do our shopping. Things are more expensive here. A tube of regular Cover Girl mascara is $20! Regular nail polish is $12 a bottle! Alcohol is more expensive also. A six pack can cost $16. It is much different living on a wet campus. We have had several different Campus East (where I live) sponsored pub nights this week. We had a Rubik cube party, where everyone was supposed to wear all of the colors of a Rubik cube and then you trade clothes with people until you are all one color. My friends and I dressed up, but we didn't give our clothes out because we don't have enough clothes with us to be giving them away. Haha. Last night was a pub crawl. We went to four bars. It lasted from 4:45-after midnight! We had orientation on Monday. The campus is pretty. I am still trying to get my classes worked out. I am taking a trip to the Blue Mountains this weekend. I hope to get some really good pictures. I am off to the beach now!
