First of all Just to let you all know I got my Oz mobile today so you can all call and text me here for cheaper. The mobile number is 0413332704, i think you guys need to put 0061 before it but you better check cos I havent had chance!

Yesterday me, Chris and Dyaln went to Melbourne zoo yesterday which was a great day out. Saw some lovely animals, see loins which I havent seen before- they are such show offs! Elephants, with a baby and kangaroos and koala of course! I also saw a tree kangaroo (no i didnt know they existed either!) they are just like a kangaroo but smaller and like in trees...obviously! It was a mummy one and she had a Joey in her pouch- was so sweet but so strange at the same time, to see a arm, leg and head sticking out of its stomach- very odd!! But sweet! I have uploaded the pics to facebook already so you can have a look. I will try and load them onto the blog but it takes ages and im paying for the net by the hour here- so your all lucky I am updating it so much.

I wanted to make sure I can updated it now while I can as once I start moving around and working and stuff I dont know how much ill update it!

Anyway, yeah we went to the zoo which was a great day and did lots of walking and nearly got attached by a seagull trying to eat my chips (they are mad out here!) In the evening me and Shain went to see the new Sex and the city movie which was totally fab! couldnt convince the lads to come and see it so they went to Robin hood instead! lol yeah so that was grerat as I wanted to see it before I left the UK but it didnt happen!

When the movie finished we went for a walk along the Yarra river and manageed to time it well with the Melbourne light show. This is basically about 8 pillars along the side of river which have flames coming out of the tops, different sizes, speeds and sequences. Looks really cool though! I tried to take some pictures but I didnt catch that many (also uploaded on facebook)

Just realised I havent told you anything about Melbourne itself have i? The city it a lot like London, buit with less people, al lot more chilled out and TRAMS! TRAMS EVERWHERE!! The roads are about a mile to cross them as you haver the road, then the tram lines, then the roads again- I mst have walked muiles since I have been here!! Luckily the hostel I am staying in is really central- on the main street in the city so its really east to navigate! They also have a FREE city cirlce tram so its great to go sight seeing on! I use it all the time.

Melbourne looks totally amazing when it gets dark as all the bridges and skyscrapers all light up and flashing- its like Vegas!! As you can see from the pcitures!

Also I have applied for my address yesterday so I shpuld have had it today but there has been a delay so I will be getting it in the next day or 2. I will send it on when I get it.

I went out to sort out my bank account, phone and tax number today but couldnt do half of it without the address so only managed to sort the phone out!

So I headed down to the docklands today, as I could sort my bank account I thought shopping would cheer me up. Obviously I cant buy much as I dont have space in my backpack- however I found these gorgeous pink heels which were TO DIE FOR and where only $10 (about 6 pound) so i bought them, and then another gorgeous silver pair, also only 10 bucks so I got them too!! Oh dear! But they are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty! So dad you can expect a package in the post in the next week or two.....:o)

Not sure what I am doing for the rest of the day yet but my friends have just got back so I am going to chat to them about it....

I think tomorrow I am either going to go to the old prison or to the titanice exhibuition- havent decided yet! unless my address comes through in which case I need to sort out my bank and tax fiel number. boooooooooooooooooo...

Think ill be looking for a job next week once my tax file number comes through! fun fun fun!!
