Munich, Germany Jun 26, 2012 After Olympic Park, we went across the street to the BMW Welt and the BMW Museum. One word? Drool. Gorgeous Bimmers from past, present, and future. Everything from the 507 to the M3 GTR, and everything in between. By the end of it, we were both ready to walk into the showroom and ask for one of everything. Seriously though, Pierre and I are both looking forward to getting new vehicles. Preferably German.
Munich, Germany Jun 26, 2012 Great day today. Tried to see as much of Munich as we could, but also attempted to have some fun with it. Went to Olympic Park first, looked around the beautiful grounds and took the elevator to the top of the Olympiaturm (Olympic Tower), where we took in the gorgeous view of Munich and looked at the Rock Museum, with tons of rock and roll memorabilia.
Munich, Germany Jun 25, 2012 Arrived in Munich in mid afternoon after a seven hour train ride from Berlin. Sad to be saying goodbye to Germany's capital city, but looking forward to Bavaria. Checked in at our hostel, which is very cool.. Around a hundred bunk beds beneath a tent, so it feels like summer camp. Good atmosphere, neat place. Berlin, Germany Jun 24, 2012 After Checkpoint Charlie, we headed down the street to the Topography of Terror, a permanent exhibition set up on the grounds of the headquarters of the Gestapo and the SS, the Reich Head Security Office. The exhibit was extremely informative, even if we had to do a lot of reading on our own.
