Made the trek to Marseilles today. During our stopover in Montpellier, learned that the football team there had captured the French national championship the night before, so a big parade and celebration was underway in town. 1230. On the train out of Barcelona, bound for Figuer-Vilafant, France, where we snag a train to Montpellier within twenty minutes of our arrival. We have a 2 hour stop over in Montpellier, where we hope to snag our tickets for the next leg of our trip (after Marseilles, in a few days). Had a great day yesterday. Went back to the hostel after the beach.. We left at the perfect time, just before the rain. Chatted with some folks at the hostel and invited them back to our place for dinner, which ended up being an improvised stir fry. Omar (Canada), Georgie (UK), Anan and Hanan (Palestine) are all interesting people, and we're headed to the beach this morning before Pierre and I catch a train to Marseilles at 1230. Spain is great, we'll be back!

Went and saw the Catedral de Barcelone this afternoon. Breath taking, and it was really cool to hear a mass while we were inside. The 'silence' rule is obeyed much more here than in Paris, and visitors are limited to the area immediately surrounding the entrance. Really nice!
