Another amazing day in Prague. We had a heat wave today with a high of 12 degrees C. This made our long walks much more comfortable. Our day started with a tour of an Augustinian monastery from which this hotel is named, and the hotel was once part of the monastery. One of the monks, Fr William Faix, gave us a tour of the monastery and the church of St Thomas. Pictured here is the oldest well in Prague situated in the monastery's garden area. Also, when Lenin escaped from the Russians he came here to this monastery! We were shown their ancient library and even touched a handwritten book written in 1511. Good heavens!! The sanctuary was decorated in high baroque. I don't think there was a square foot left undecorated. I hope more pics of the monastery/church get uploaded. One never knows. After the monastery it was time to shop then back to our room for a nap. Quite a nice day. Tomorrow we drive to Vienna.

Scottie Hi! You have a really cool new car. I look forward to seeing it in person some day soon. Your travels sound enchanting but how do you keep warm? Oh I forgot that you carry your own personal heater, Velda, that you share with Norm. What will you do on the 27th. Is that the day that Norm turns 60? Life here continues with patients "lining up at my door" which makes me smile. Bill and I will go to CO this weekend to be with Lilah and Sadie for Halloween. Christy and Pete are going to a lovely resort from Sat. to Sun. while we get to have Little Pecious and her sister to ourselves. I think that we'll be happy to see their parents return Sun. night. I look forward to hearing about your coming adventures. Lots of love, Scottie
