Hello Dear Hellie and Mike, thanks for sharing these wonderful views with us and for including us in your great adventures. I can almost hear the waves on the beach and I just want to slide into the clear warm water when I look at your pix. It's autumn now here and altho the days are still mainly quite warm we have started getting the typical mists and dank old days too. Today (25/10) is the first day of GMT and it's a beautiful soft sunny day following a stunning pink dawn.
We've had some pretty spectacular sunsets but they don't quite measure up to sitting on a beach on an island off the Australian coast!
I like the clouds in your pix too.
Happy travels
love, Mary x

Hi Hellie and Mike - Like I said before ...... Another batch of fabulous photos - thank you so much for sharing them with us! Seeing those wonderful pictures of the markets confirms what I already knew..... there is NO WAY I could even consider doing a trip like yours with only one rucksack!
Never got to Poland as I had an argument with the central reservation crash barrier on the autobahn in Germany and wrote off the Landrover! Fortunately I walked away with no more than a couple of grazes but my insurance company informed me that because I forgot to tell them I was going, they would only cover me 3rd party - so I had to leave the car there and sell it, and a friend drove over to bring me and the contents of the car home. It was certainly a big adventure, but not the one I planned! Don't worry though, I am perfectly alright - and starting to think about a trip in October.
Lots of love Mary xxx

Hi Hellie and Mike - Another batch of fabulous photos - thank you so much for sharing them with us. Sorry to hear that Mike was so ill. Must h ave been terrifying for both of you but glad to hear (and see!) that he's better now. I hope you're going to be able to buy some of those gorgeous silks even if you have to post them home. ...I'm off on an adventure of my own next Wednesday driving the Landrover back to Poland. I've been trying to get away since April and I'm finally off. How typical that the weather is cloudless blue sky every day here, and over there people have been dying in flood waters and cars washed away! Hopefully it will have subsided before I get there. ..........lots of love Mary xxx

Good to hear again. Hong kong is a fabulous place. I remember walking down Feather Street, full of colourful feather dusters. The ducks that have gone through the mangle were pretty spookie as well. Bangkok is v.interestig but do be careful. When do you meet up with Poppy? Glad you enjoyed your bday, good job you only have one a year!! I had my sister from Canada staying with me recently so I became a tourist. Tomorrow (20th) J and I set off for New York, for 2 weeks.
A sad bit of news David Lloyd died on Sun 17May.
BO seems to be settling down with its new staff. They have lots to do to keep them out of mischief ie the Festival, Sheet Music. Do you miss it? What a silly question.
Take care, keep safe
love xx

Hi happy travellers, good to hear from you again , I was thinking this morning that we hadn’t had a post from you recently and wondered if you were ok or had got lost in some jungle or other. Am I jealous of yr travels - England is a cold wet soggy mess at the moment and we are all dreaming of sunshine and warm days here and sobbing into our warm flat beers ha ha …(well, I am at least)!
No news to tell you really…Carl Walker is now doing your tech job…
And for me - I have just got myself a new allotment so I’m looking forward to more of my own homegrown veg and lots of flowers too.
Keep the postings coming; it’s lovely to hear from you. Where are you going next? I can’t remember… keep safe, keep smiling x Mary
