Got the early bus (6.15am) on Wednesday as planned- an early start! Bus took about 5 hours to get to Popayán and was a pretty bumpy road! I spent Monday (7th) visiting the sites of Tierradentro, a second archaeological park, described in my guidebook as being well off the standard tourist trail but worth the trip. It's said that the rough ride to get here is worth it! And I had planned to visit as part of my visit in this area (the desert, San Agustin and Tierradentro). I hoped for a decent journey to get here but was ready for missed connections as I knew it was at least 3 transports to get there....

Well, I've once again ended up staying longer than I thought I would- have just really enjoyed being here at Casa de François in San Agustin as it's such a relaxing place! I have spent some time seeing the sites but have also spent time just relaxing, reading in a hammock, chatting with other travellers…..and nothing much else! I thought I would leave on Friday but now plan on moving on on Monday. They do great food here in their restaurant so I've eaten there...
