Leaving Miami was hectic. We got to the airport 2 hours before our international flight like you have too.... We should have got there 3 hours before hand. The airport was crazy packed. We only JUST made it when the plane was boarding. The flight was horrible, being that we couldn't even get seats together. We both got middle seats, 5 rows apart. I really don't understand why they would book our seats separately. Anyway after 3 and half hours of flying we were in Toronto. The view coming in was beautiful, being that everything was covered in snow. Walking outside the warm airport sucked having the freezing cold pretty much smack you in the face!
By the time we got to our hotel downtown the snow was insane. More than we had ever seen in New York. Checked into our amazing hotel and went across the street for a quick dinner. Coming back from getting dinner we organized tours. We have passes for the Hop on Hop off tour bus for the week. Which takes you all around 25 different stops giving you guided tour of everything... This brings us to today.
Today we decided we would get off at stop 22, The Distillery District. It's a pedestrian only village with all cobblestone streets filled with heaps of galleries, restaurants, cafes and boutiques! Its old looking and so beautiful with all the snow covering it. After spending 2 hours there we were freezing our butts off and ready to get back on the bus.
It was still early so we got off at stop number 1, Eaton centre/Dundas Square. Eaton centre is a MASSIVE 4 story high shopping centre! We didn't even do half of it, it's that big. Our hotel is close by so we decided we would walk back plus we could walk though Dundas Square. It's like a mini Time Square with small shops all along the way. Oh there was a man with an amp and microphone telling everyone all about the conspiracies of religion and the pope... Apparently he wasn't "preaching" he told everyone >_< Not really something you see every day!
Now we are just kicking back relaxing because tomorrow is going to be a big day! Day tour at Niagara Falls :)
