I had a pretty awesome day today
Even if it didn't start off that way... So I went to the shop to stock up on food and drink for my day out at the beach. Before I got to the shop round the corner it started to rain.
I went into the supermarket, got a big pack of crossiants and 2 bottles of water.. As I was walking towards the subway station this guy stopped me and said "Can I have a croissant? And your number..?" I told him I have a boyfriend and he was like "I just want to be your friend, give it to me!" I laughed and walked off.. then the worst thing in the world happened to me, I still can't get over it, I have been so upset all day I DROPPED MY CROSSIANTS!!! Yep, 6 of them!!! (I had already eaten two by the time I got round the corner...). To say I was heartbroken is a slight understatement! Lol. The stupid lid just wouldn't get back on so I was bleeding fiddling around with it, when the terrible event took place
Anyway, from there my day got better . It may have been peeing down with rain, but we were determined to have some time on the beach today! So I met up with Susannah and Avsar, then we drove to Long Island, grabbed some food and then went to the beach.
As soon as we went to get onto the beach there was thunder and lightning, which according to Susannah was nothing special, seriously, if you had that rumble in the UK you'd either poo yourself or be so excited for an awesome storm!
So when we went to go onto the beach the lifeguards came running over and said that we weren't aloud on the beach until 30 minutes after the last rumble.. so we went to the wooden board walk-way and set up camp.. literally.. two chairs together, two sarongs and Susannah and I huddled underneath. The lifeguards were awesome and bought their beach umbrella over and dug a hole then planted it in there :-)
After an hour or so we were finally aloud on the beach, well.. it was awesome! The sea was blue and the sand had no stones; everything you want in a beach :-D
So, i'm pretty tired now, all that sea air! (Is that actually true? Or a load of gobbledeegook?!), so i'll say good night :-D

Money spent: $35.50: $3.50 water and croissants in a stupid pot with a stupid lid that ended up on the stupid road.. grrr. $10 gas, $8 lunch, $14 snacks etc.
