Day 15
Restful night in Santa Ponsa marina and boat now looks like a Chinese laundry. Washing everywhere. Just waiting for the last wash to finish and then we are going to take the boat around to the bay of Santa Ponsa. We get round to the bay and come close to some rocks that are way off the beach and not marked on the charts. We find a safe anchorage right next to a Pearl 60 Nigel's dream boat. We have decided to stay another night here. Tomorrow we are going to move around to Adriano.
Day 16
We set off for Adriano stopping at a small bay really ugly marina ½ empty as they have extended it for super yachts but they only have 5 there and can take 60.This evening we went into Maguluf for a meal after struggling to get a Taxi!
Day 17
We leave Mallorca as we set off for Ibiza very sad day today as we bought Suenos in Mallorca and its felt like home as we have been based there 2 years now. A nice safe crossing other than the engine stopped half way across I think it's getting hotter than it should but restarted and ran a little slower and end up at the East of the Island in to a little anchorage called Cala Portinax where we stayed for the night on the hook and went to get a Sunday Roast from Del Boys bar not very Spanish and then we tried to win the quiz after 1st round we were 2nd and then even managed to get them all right and take the lead only to get smashed on pop music. Only problem is Avon now playing up sounds like we have to do another repair on her when in next port.
Day 18
Off to San Antonio, it's about 21 miles no booking and it gets very busy but we hope we should get in. On route we track across to Cala an Bossa where the beautiful people go to party, taking a quick look at the CBBC it's a beach club where the sandwiches are 20 Euros and they have Champagne in large metal buckets. After a couple of hours here we set off for the marina. As usual we radio and telephone the Marina and no answer from ports IB so go to the fuel pontoon and get a Club Natico berth. Great spot as there is a lot of action and there are some young people just 2 boats down who have already started partying. That night we head for a restaurant on the front right by bar street.
Day 19
We decide to stay for another night as we can't get booking in Ibiza town confirmed. We go out to a small bay called Cala Tarida. What a day we have, 1st we get the rib out and use the ringo even Mary and Sue have a go after some persuasion, then we have a go at water skiing and finally Nigel manages to get up doing several circuits round the boat. It's now 8.00pm we decide to go back to the Marina before dark. We have always wanted to take photos of the boat on the move so as its flat Liam takes his camera and Jordan drives the rib taking wonderful photos as we power back round to San Antonio. The most famous thing about this resort is the sunsets!!! And as we make our way back the sun starts to drop and the clear night is captured on film with the most spectacular sun set as the sun dips below the sea and the whole harbour is lit up by flashing cameras from the shore line ending an almost perfect day. That night we go to another restaurant where we sit in a walkway between the tables and the bar and it is traditional for the super clubs to do a parade with the girls wearing very little and Marcus getting a very close view of the situation in deed!
Day 20
Again it's been a short stay in the party island as the weather is on the change and we decide to make a run for the mainland. Today is a special day as its Liam's birthday and he has had his camera for some 20 days already and it's our longest crossing of over 60 miles. The sea is perfect not a ripple and we make steady progress after the boys let off a balloon each on route. Around 20 miles off we see a pod of dolphins and head straight in to them. WOW they starting swimming alongside jumping out of the water and we capture the whole event on film, even swimming with these magical creatures is not as good as seeing them in the wild, what a birthday present just perfect!
We arrive in Morira around 4 hours after leaving and start catching Jelly fish in our bucket and then make our way down to Altea a further 11 miles passing the familiar Calpe rock where we will stay so Liam can go to Tera Mitica.
Day 21, 22, 23
Terra Mitica very hot and many loads of people as the Spanish are on holiday and we are now all very tired. Next day we have to pack up and start to prepare for the last days cruise down to Alicante where Suenos will stay until next May.
What a wonderful 20 or so days so many wonderful experiences and quite clearly we have fell in love with the Balearic's as they offer the best cursing in all the Med and we will really miss the islands.
