Day 10
Fixing boats!! Priority today is to see if we can get someone to fix the main boat. Being Saturday thought there was little chance of getting it fixed before midldle of next week . Nigel went off and to our surprise came back with an engineer. The engineer took a look and said it was likely to be the impeller. He went off and within an hour 2 men came back and fixed it. Next job our rib. The engineers were only doing essential works as they were so busy so Nigel and Marcus decided to take a look at the rib. The problem was it kept cutting out at a certain speed. They worked on it for most of the day, Took out the petrol tank, cleaned it, cleaned the carbaruetta, and lots of other things. Put it all back together and then the test came. Now we couldn’t even get it started.... One step forward and 2 steps back! By then we had flattened the battery. We put the battery on charge and would have a go the next day. We were going to try the main boat but decided tomorrow when hopefully we would have got the rib working aswell and could try them together.
