Tuesday 1/11/11US, 2/11/11AU
A beautiful day in Chicago. I met Kenny (a fellow Judgement and Decision Making researcher) for lunch at Northwestern uni. Saw my second Bahai temple (there's only 1 per continent). Took a ride along the lakeside, and a sunset history and architecture cruise. I particularly liked a building with wavy balconies designed to ensure a) that birds didn't accidentally fly into the glass and b) that every apartment had a good view.
Wednesday 2/11/11US, 3/11/11AU
I presented my work at Chicago University today. It was wonderful to finally put the names from papers to faces. Josh Klayman and Reid Hastie were both very accommodating. It was great discussing ideas with them. My talk went pretty well and I got very valuable feedback. The campus is in a bad area, but once you cross the divide it is a beautiful mixture of old and new, huge and has a massive free archeology museum with real mummies! I also caught the sunset and nightfall at Millenium Park, that was beautiful.
