So I woke up in Rotorua on my second day to find out it was absolutely chucking it down! Now when I was planning my travels it didn't cross my mind that it would rain at all whilst I was away so I don't really have sensible shoes or a rain coat, so I decided to spend a while in the hostel.
So when it stopped raining I thought I would head out and look for a cardigan or a raincoat. I went with Leslie and Jen. Jen want off on her own for the day so me and Leslie hit the shops. We came out the first shop and it was like a monsoon was hitting New Zealand. We decided to run to an undercover section and Leslie was wearing flip flops, her shoes got stuck in the mud and her feet kept running! It was so funny (probably not so much for Leslie). We had breakfast and then I wondered round a bit more on my own.
As it was raining on and off we stayed in most of the afternoon watching comedy on YouTube and eating cheese and biscuits. A generally quiet day.
Next morning we were up for the bus. I went to board the bus and the driver said I wasn't booked on, even though I had been told previously I had a space. The girls left without me and me,Shane and Ellie didn't get on the bus to Taupo. Shane and Ellie wanted to do a skydive in Taupo and there was a free shuttle so I asked if the driver would take me and they said they would for free....so the adventure continues in Taupo!
