I can't believe that in less than 12 hours I will be heading to the airport. This is insanity. I'm SO nervous it isn't funny. I think I might puke. This is the biggest adventure I've been on to date, and part of me is terrified. It is still as if it isn't real to me, I don't think it will be real until the lights in the cabin come on and the flight attendant says "Good morning and welcome to London. The weather today is a brisk 16C (61 F) with a chance of showers blah, blah blah" and I can look out the window and see Big Ben.
I think Prudence (my cat) knows something is up, she's being super affectionate now. She normally is not a cuddly touchy-feely cat, but right now she is sitting behind me and letting me me rest my head on her tummy and she's purring and boping me in the face with her tail. I think she realizes that Mommy is going on a long trip and won't be back for a while. I'm going to miss her so much! How will I be able to sleep without the little fluffball curled up by my feet? This will take some getting used to.
I'm 85% packed now, all I really need to do is put my computer in my bag and some last minute things like toothbrush ect. Oh, I also need to go pick my medicine up that I left at my parent's house, go me. At least they are willing to meet me half way, so it's only an hour drive. I'll be back in plenty of time for Sara to drive me to the airport. I'm having a tough decision on what books to bring. I'm bringing Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and my school books in addition to my cross stitch, but I think I need another pleasure book. Maybe I'll bring the one Sara lent me, Illium, or maybe the book Troy Roxanne lent me. I shall ponder this.
