Well long time no blog people.
Hope you are all well
Well we have been in Australia for about 4 months now, we have settled in quite nicely, we have out little flat in the middle of Bondi Junction which is 10 mins from Bondi beach, 15 mins from the city so we get the best of both worlds and more importantly 2 mins from a shopping centre haha.
we have got jobs made friends and doing well.
While here we have rented a camper van for 5 days where we travelled up to Byron Bay and stopped off at Numbucker heads wher we wrote our names on the rocks yet again, coffs harbour and Port McQuarie.
We had a brill 5 days travelling and showed us how much we miss the freedon of the camper haha im sure i was hippy in my last life.
Only last week we went to the outback camping we flew into Ayres rock a 3 hour plane ride, wher we met up with a group of 15 people on a Adenture tours tour for the next 3 days.
Straight form being picked up we went to the Valley of winds at Kata Tjuta, wher you saw the rocks that the wind has formed from the sand, the heat here is so intense so hot and humid that it is hard to breath, next we drove to the Ayres rock which was amazing to see in real life, we watched the sunset over the rock before retiring to our camp site for the night.
We had to hire sleeping bags to go in our tent, we also had to all pitch in to make dinner.
The next morning we had to get up at 4am yes 4am, so we made breakfast and set pff to Ayres rock, where we watched the sut rise over Ulruand then we had a talk about the Aboriginal drawing on the rock and the history about the rock we then hiked around teh rock, there was a chance for people to actually climb up the rock it self but we where told that this is disrespectful to the Aboriginal people and that you can get bad luck. So we walked around the base of the rock which took 2 hours.
Now i know why we got up at a 4am, because by 8am the heat is about 35.
The flies drove us mad there are so many and they just constantly land on your face, when you swat them away they just come straight back aarrrggghhh!
After we went to an Aboriginal culture centre, before starting a 5 hour drive to our next camp site, on the way we had to stop in the bush to collect fire wood, we got so dirty!
We arrived at our site and got the fire started and then made dinner.
That night we slept SWAG style which basically means we sleep outside in a sleeping bag on the floor under the stars.
It wasnt to bad you sleep in a sleeping bag within a waterproof sleeping bag.
That night we saw and hear Dingos one walked past our very sleeping bags while we ate dinner whic scared us all a bit. Durring the night at about 1 am we all heard a pack of Dingos which where about 10 feet away from us howling it was very scary.
Well it was another 4.30am start for us but this time to trek up Kings canyon, which was a 3 hour trek up hill, but worth it the views where amazing, unreal and nothing like i have seen before.
As we where getting up so early we was having lunch by 10 am haha
We had another 5 hour drive back to Alice Spring we we went out for our last dinner.
Me and lee had 2 more night in Alice Springs, It was Lee's birthday the next day so we had a well earned lay in had a few beers some lunch and went to a Retile centre where we got to hold lizards and snakes.
We had a brill few days a real adventure and experience and one we will never forget.
