Hello all
Well it is going so quick, cant beleive we have been away for about 8 weeks!
We met up with our GAP tour which had 8 other people in 4 guys & 4 girls, all around our age. After leaving Rio we had a 6 hour bus journey and a ferry to get to Ilh Grande, which is a little island, a lot like Kho Phi Phi for those that have been. We stayed in lovely little huts You walk every where, no cars on the Island which shows how small it is.
While in Ilh Grande we went on a boat trip, with free BBQ & Caprini's the Brazillian drink, Lee got to do some snorkerling while i sunbathed and later he played football with the other guys on the boat. We also did a 3 hour yes i did say 3 hour walk UP HILL, which nearly killed me and i am not kidding! the walk was to see the stunning views and to visit the surf beach where Lee & Jesse a guy form the tour done a surfing lesson and you guessed i feel a sleep on the beach ( life is so hard at the mo!)
Durring the night there was a music festival going on, and there was lots of bars.
From there we went on to Paraty, which has a cute little old town with lots of little craft shops.
There the action started (for me anyway) we had yet another LONG walk where we did Zip Lining, this is zipping across tree tops, but the fun didnt stop there, There was also an asult course up in the tree tops!
We got our harnes on and off we went, i wanted to cry i was so scared but did it, it was fun ( sort of) Me and lee was the first up there, it was hard work and yes i sweated like a pig. Next was the horse riding this also was scary as once you was on your hourse you was left on your own, apart form the man who kept whipping thr horses back side so it would Gallop!! We nearly fell off but we couldnt stop laughing as one of the other girls horse kept farting ( childish we know)
The Iguassu Falls where next, we saw them from both The Brazillian & the Argentina side, They were amazing and well worth a visit to any one going Brazil, They were massive and the water come down in such force, it was Hypnotizing.
The Brazillian side you saw them as a whole, but on the Argentina side you saw them close up.
Next was Uruguay Form here the weather turned really cold, so the only thing - head for the Spa, so the whole group went to the warm spa's and had massages - the life of a back packer haha
In uruguay we visisted Montvideo & Colonia, saw the sights and wondered around, we took a day trip to Paraguay as well
We ended our tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the weather was still cold, but clear skys.
Buenos Aires is like a European city, like Paris or somewhere, we saw a lot of sights and looked at a lot of shops!! I went to see a Tango show with the others gals in the group, while Lee went to watch Argentina play football in a pub.
We visisted the Boca football stadium, where we got to go into the changing rooms and look around the ground, with statues and pictures of Maradonna everywhere, the next street along is where the painted houses are, they are all different colours and people dance the Tango in the street
Argentina is where we also got our first taste for red wine, In Argentina you get stakes for around 1-2 pound, everywhere you eat steak and drink red wine, so of course we had to join in.
We left our tour there and on our own we flew to Chile, our first day there was cold and pouring of rain so we stocked up on crap food got a box of red wine and played guess the person in our Hostel room haha, we know how to amuse our selves.
Over the next couple of days we looked at the local markets went up in a cable cart and walked about in the cold.
On the third day we flew to Sydney Australia, where our next adventure beguins.
On a whole i loved Brazil and glad we went to Argentina, we wont be rushng back to either Paraguy or uruguay but it was worth a visist
Plus i forgot to mention that we had 2 overnight buses which where horrible!
Thats the first leg over!
