I woke a few times in the night due to the breeze but it was so deadly quiet, getting back to sleep wasn't a problem. I woke properly at sunrise, the stars had gone and the sky was a beautiful orangey colour. Once it was light we packed away our beds, loaded the trailer, got showered and headed for breakfast. Bacon and eggs on toast, fantastic, just what I needed. A great way to end an absolutely awesome night. We all shared stories over breakfast about stuff that happened last night and had a laugh. 30 odd people waking up in sleeping bags on a patch of grass certainly brings people together! Everyone had torches out last night and toilet trips were in groups. Such a laugh - cant believe I was worried about it.
We pretty much travelled all morning, stopping off at Mt Connor and Lake Ebenezer for photos. We had lunch in Ylara and did a bit of shopping. We then went to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and took a 1km walk through one of the gorges. It was 35 degree heat and it was tough but luckily only took us about an hour. We saw Uluru (Ayres Rock) for the first time today too, that was pretty cool.
Tonight we have a free night but the rooms we are in just about fit 2 bunk beds in and are quite similar to a prison cell! We have to be up and at breakfast by 5.15 to tomorrow morning so it'll just be dinner, drinks and bed tonight I think! Tomorrow is Uluru day..... very excited! Ayres Rock, sunrise, walk round it, Harley ride round it and then our champagne sunset. Let the good times roll.....
