Hey all. As i'm writing this , I'm sitting in a square in some town in Slovakia. For some reason I just woke up after like four hours sleep and I'm at the one cafe that is open in the area where the hotel is. I think I woke up because I was hungry. The other guys are still sleeping. The funny thing is at this particular cafe, nobody speaks English. They just look at me with a blank expression when I ask them if they speak English. Luckily, I know how to order coffee but I have no idea how to order any food or how to ask if they sell food. It's quite a trip to be in this situation. I'm starving but it's quite cool anyway. The time now is 7.45 but when i post this it will probably be later as I need interweb access to do so. After my coffee i'm going to try get something to eat. I don't know where though because everything is still pretty closed. It's actually really cool to have to make a mission for food in the middle of god knows where. Lol.

Last night's gig was pretty cool. We played at this awesome jazz club where Robert Glasper and Kenny Garrett played at a festival they hosted. They want us back here for the same festival ( where Garrett,Glasper played) next year so hopefully it will come through. We are pretty tired and I'm looking forward to having Monday and Tuesday off to rejuvenate my creativity. I didn't realize how tired you get trying to have fresh ideas when playing every night. Poor Russ is sick. He has a chest infection so he's been a bit out of it. He is still keeping it together and playing really well though. It feels like we've been gone a long time- think its because we have been playing so much. It's really been good for my piano playing, like really good.

So weird. Sitting next to an old guy for Cyprus who is in the same boat as me. He says I'm the first person he has spoken English to in a week. I'm typing this as we talk. He was a professional soccer player for 20 years or so. He played club soccer in Greece and England. He started playing professionally in 1964 so he is pretty old now. Anyway, random!

Anyway, gonna try find some food. Going back to Czech this afternoon. Somewhere outside of Prague for another gig. We go back to prague tomorrow. I must say, it has been an interesting few days...
