Hello all, Tom here again. First I'm afraid to say we have not yet swum with the sharks, we had intended to book it for this monday just gone but things snow balled on us a bit and we never got around to booking it. Rest assured we shall be doing this before we leave Auckland and as soon as we have we shall write it about it.
Secondly, hope you all enjoyed bens (worringly accurate) blog from yesterday. We do have a a list of the beers we drank at the festival, kept as we were going round (many of which we did not remember drinking), and we shall put it this up shortly.
Now to recent news. We have thrown ourselves back into work after some time off. Yesterday I alone went to an office centre where I helped in the kitchen by cleaning dishes for 7 straight hours. (I can safely say i shall never be doing that again). As kitchen hand work is only ever for one person we are taking turns at taking the jobs, it is bens turn on thursday when he is going to be working in the Hilton's Kitchen.
We all had a job today, which required as to get up at 3:30am!!!!!!!!!! Thats right that time in the morning does exist, although we were all convinced that it did not. We arrived at the hotel where we were wokring at 5am and promptly got to work, serving the dullest people in the world (environmental people). We served them coffee, tea then food before having to completly clear the dining room (of 30 tables). We finished at 11am and then came here to the internet cafe to write about it.
Tomorrow is wednesday and as the weather looks to have suffciently improved we have decided to hit the beach where we shall sun our selves all day. Then in the eve I shall play poker again while the others enjoy a few drinks before we all hit the town afterwards. it shall be a fun packed day.
Then exciting news, Pearson shall be arriving on friday!! Shall be another mouth to feed but the fast food people have convinced us that they will still make enough for us to eat. We shall of course make him very welcome, although we are working on saturday, his first day. We'll point him in the right direction though lol. So expect to be hearing from him no this blog soon.
As for ouy work on saturday, it is at the Auckland cup, which is the equvilant of ascot in the UK. So we shall be serving expensive alcohol to rich, snobby and drunk people. But of corse it shall be nothing compared to newbury.
So i end with news that Feders recently followed an indian man out of the lift (on the wrong floor) and almost went into his room with him. It is safe to say we are not letting him out of our sight again.
hope everyone is well at home.
