Day 19
And so, after a week, our last full day in Auckland is here.
We head into town reasonably early with the intent on revisiting some areas, catching up on shopping and taking those last few pictures of this amazing City.
Once again, the bus drops us at the Harbour, and until we leave the city later this evening, we will be on foot, we are in agreement that this is the best way to get around without missing anything. Rugby will play a part in the day, with a big game tonight, England Vs Scotland, and we intend to watch from the fanzone at the Harbour.
We have plenty of time, so take things leisurely, grabbing some lunch on the way, making our way back (as predicted) to Groovy Records, and generally enjoying the day
Wherever you are in Auckland though, you cannot ignore the Sky Tower, it really does dominate the City, and is a real centrepiece, semingly viewable from every part of the City, which really shouldn't come as a suprise.
As the afternoon moves into evening, we are making our way down towards the fanzone, when we run into friends from the UK, quite unplanned, although we knew they were doing their own tour, we hadn't expected to run into each other like this, so we take the opportunity to have a drink at a bar that is flying the St Georges flag, ready for tonights game, and then head off.
England get the win, although the game is tighter than i would have liked, but a win what was needed and England go through to the Knockout stages, as we prepare to say goodbye to New Zealand.
We pack cases again, ready to move on tomorrow to Sydney
