Day 14
Our first full day in Auckland, and with a week here, we have plenty of time to explore and do what we want to do, so we make today a 'familiarisation day' and take a bus into Auckland from Northcote and have a wander round at leisure, from one end of the shopping district on Queens Street by the Harbour to the other.
The Fan Zone in Auckland is set up in Queens Wharf, over looking the harbour, and we spend some time seeing what is on offer. This is the biggest of the fan zones that we have seen so far with a huge bar area, and big screens to watch the games on, as well as the usual merchandise shops.
The area on Queens Wharf if nicely laid out, and includes a replica of the big one, the Webb Ellis Trophy.
Auckland really is a step up in size again from anywhere we have been in Zew Zealand already, and the whole City seems to have caught Rugby fever, it's everywhere you look, from banners and advertising hoardings in the streets, and it seems, every single shop you go into or past. It is a sight that i haven't seen before and doubt i will again
