Got up at 6am, got ready & went to meet our guide in the lobby. Changed our tour slightly to include the floating market and longer at Tiger Temple, but this meant not going on the Death Railway and missing out the Erawan National Park.
Short drive from Bangkok we stopped at The biggest Pagoda in Thailand. It was under construsction which was annoying but you could still see it and it was beautiful.
After an hours drive we arrived at the town where we boarded a longtail boat that took us into the floating market - we saw a monkey in the trees on the way!!
When we got to th market we paid 300Baht to be taken out on a paddle boat. It was a really good experience and we both really enjoyed it. When we got off we had a coconut each which was really refreshing as it was so hot and humid. We then bartered for an elephant tapestry, getting it down from 1680Baht to just 650, not bad for our first time!
We then got back on the bus to head to Tiger Temple stopping for a Thai lunch, of rice with various different dishes, along the way. We each paid 500baht to get into Tiger Temple.
Our tour guide took us to the Tiger cubs first, they were adorable, ranging from 1 to four months old. We got to get up close to have a cuddle and take photos before then making our way to Tiger Canyon to see the big Tigers. Two volunteers took us round to cuddle each tiger and get a good photo. The Tigers were huge but softer than we thought they'd be - an incredible experience.
We then went on to see the Bridge over the River Kwai. We chose not to go to the Jeath War Museum as it didn't look like there was alot there and it was 40 Baht each to get it. Instead we walked along the bridge, got some great views and took some good pictures.
It then took us 2 hours to get back to Bangkok, we were very tired so just grabbed a quick dinner down Khoa San Rd and are now off to bed before heading to Chiang Mai tomorrow.
